Type Hotels Meeting
About Type Hotels Meeting

Built like a hotel lobby bar

One game, bright chrome, and a counter where everyone’s welcome to meet and sit a while.

Where the name came from

Type Hotels Meeting is named after a familiar scene: two people agree to meet in a hotel lobby, and end up at the bar counter while they wait. The best lobby bars rarely have the longest menus — they do one or two things well, and people keep coming back to the same stool. We wanted a social casino with that same attitude — a single, well-made game instead of a wall of flashing tiles. It is a setting, not a hotel: there are no rooms to book and no real venue behind the name.

Blackjack was the obvious pick. It’s quick to learn, it rewards paying attention, and a round lasts about as long as it takes to wait for a friend in the lobby. So we built Double Malt 21, gave it a chrome-rimmed counter and a cherry-red register, and made it free for everyone of age to enjoy.

What we promise at the counter

Honesty sits at the centre of everything here. The deck is a genuine 52-card deck shuffled by your browser, the dealer follows a posted rule that never bends, and payouts are exactly what the rules panel says they are. Nothing is weighted, and nothing is hidden behind a paywall — because there is no paywall.

Type Hotels Meeting is purely a social gaming site. You can’t deposit money, you can’t buy coins, and you can’t cash anything out. The coins in your balance are a way of keeping score and nothing else. When you reload the page, they reset, which we think keeps the whole experience pleasantly low-stakes.

Who runs the place

The site is run by a small independent team of designers and developers who like card games, clean code and old-fashioned hospitality. We don’t sell data, we don’t run an account system, and we keep the site lightweight so it loads fast wherever you happen to be. Players visit from all over the world, and we’ve written everything to be welcoming no matter where you pull up a stool.

The site is for adults aged 18 and over. We designed it as a light pastime, and we encourage everyone to treat it that way — a few hands, a laugh, and back to the rest of your day.
