How the counter plays
- Hand values
- Number cards count at face value. Jacks, queens and kings are worth 10. An ace counts as 11 unless that would push the hand over 21, in which case it counts as 1 — a hand holding an ace counted as 11 is called “soft”.
- The dealer’s fixed rule
- The dealer draws on 16 or less and stands on every 17, including soft 17. No exceptions, no judgement calls.
- Payouts
- A win returns your stake plus an equal amount (1:1). A natural blackjack — an ace and a ten-value card as your first two cards — pays 3 to 2. Ties push and your stake comes back. If both you and the dealer hold a natural, it’s a push.
- Doubling
- On your first two cards you may double your stake and take exactly one more card.
- The deck
- One real 52-card deck, shuffled at random and reshuffled once fewer than 15 cards remain. Minimum bet is 10 coins.
Table notes
Reading the counter
Chips add up to your bet before the deal; the stake leaves your balance the moment cards start sliding. When the round ends, anything you’re owed lands back in the balance straight away and a callout tells you exactly how many coins moved.
- The dealer’s second card sits face down until your turn is over, or until a blackjack needs checking.
- Reaching 21 stands for you automatically.
- If your balance dips below the 10-coin minimum, betting locks and the Reset balance button refills you to 1,000.
- Coins live only in this browser tab and vanish on reload. They have no cash value and cannot be purchased or redeemed.
